General
What is Formspring?
Formspring is a secure response desk for forms, surveys, funnels, and short links. It stores submissions, filters spam, routes follow-up work, and keeps delivery history in one place.
What languages and frameworks are supported?
Anything that can POST. Snippets ship for HTML, React, Vue, Next.js, Astro, SvelteKit, Nuxt, vanilla JS, Python, PHP, and Ruby.
Billing
Do I need a credit card to start?
No. The Free plan never asks for one. Payment details are only entered when upgrading.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from the billing page; we prorate to the day. No retention calls, no exit fees.
What happens if I exceed my plan's submissions?
Formspring notifies you and pauses new submissions until the next month or until you upgrade. Existing data is never deleted. Over-quota submissions return HTTP 402 so your client knows the response was not accepted.
Data protection
Where does my data live?
Submissions and files live in our primary EU region by default. Files are stored in private, encrypted object storage. Contact us for region-specific deployments on Team plans.
Is there a DPA?
Yes. The AVV/DPA is published at /dpa, with sub-processors listed separately for procurement and GDPR reviews.
Migration
I'm coming from Formspree, Basin, or Getform. Can I migrate?
Drop-in replacement for the action URL. Most teams migrate by swapping the form's action attribute. Existing webhook receivers keep working with industry-standard HMAC-SHA256 headers.
Can I use my own domain for the form action?
On Team plans you can serve the ingestion endpoint from a CNAME of your own domain, useful for branded URLs and stricter Content Security Policy setups.
