Presentation mode is a full-screen view of a live event for the
person who is hosting. Open it from the console with Presentation mode, or go to
/poll-events/{event}/present. It works in any current browser and does not depend on a
meeting or slide application: share the browser window, or put it on a projector.
What is on screen
- The current question and, below it, the live results at a size that reads from the back of a room. A table with the same numbers is always included.
- A countdown for timed questions.
- The join panel: a QR code, the join address and the short join code, plus the number of people who have joined. The address and code are always shown, so joining never depends on scanning.
- The leaderboard, when you have switched it on.
- Host controls along the bottom: start, open the next question, close voting, reveal results. People with the Viewer role see everything except the controls.

Shortcuts are ignored while you type in a field and when a modifier key (Ctrl, Cmd, Alt) is held, so they never fight your browser or screen reader.
Look and feel
Pick Light, Dark or High contrast when you create the event, or switch for the current window with the Theme menu at the top. High contrast is pure black and white with a yellow accent. An accent colour set through the API recolours bars and highlights; text always keeps the theme's own colour, so a low-contrast brand colour can never make text hard to read.
State changes are announced to screen readers through a polite live region. Every control is a real button with a visible label.
The public screen
/e/{code}/screen is a read-only view of the same event for anyone who has the join code.
It shows what an audience member can see and nothing more:
- results only after you reveal them, and quiz answers only after you reveal them;
- only approved or answered questions;
- no controls and no cookies.
Use it on a second display, or embed it on a page:
<iframe src="https://formspring.io/e/ABC234/screen?embed=1" width="100%" height="520"
title="Live results"></iframe>
Replace the sample address with your event's. ?embed=1 gives a compact view without page
chrome, and ?lang=de or ?lang=en picks the language when the event does not set one.
Zoom, Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint
Native apps for Zoom, Microsoft Teams and PowerPoint are not available yet. Until they are, use presentation mode in the browser and share that window in your meeting or slides, or embed the public screen in a page your meeting tool can show. The apps need a review by each vendor before they can be installed, and Formspring will not label them as available before that has happened.
