The setup wizard
The first time you sign in to a new account, Formspring runs a short setup wizard so we can point you at the right product and feel less generic. It takes well under a minute, and you can skip any step — nothing here is required to use the product.
The steps
- Intent — what you're here to do. Pick the closest match:
- Contact forms — let people reach you and route every message.
- Lead capture — collect and qualify new leads.
- Surveys & NPS — measure satisfaction with NPS, CSAT, and CES.
- Quizzes & funnels — score answers and route people step by step.
- Link in bio — share branded short links and QR codes.
- Something else — explore everything and decide as you go.
- Profile — an optional bit about you (your role, and how big your team is). This only tunes the dashboard and suggestions; it's never required.
- Migration — if you're coming from another tool (Formspree, Tally, Typeform, Heyform, Formbricks, or somewhere else), tell us and we'll surface the right import path. Pick "Starting fresh" if you're new.
- Done — a quick confirmation, then you land in the dashboard set up for the intent you chose.
Skipping and resuming
- Every step has a skip control. Skipping a step is remembered, and you go straight to the dashboard.
- The wizard only runs once per account. Once you finish or skip out, it never interrupts you again — you won't be redirected back into it on later visits.
- Accounts created before the wizard launched are never pulled into it.
What happens to your answers
Your choices are stored against your account and used to tailor the dashboard and in-product suggestions. You can ignore the suggestions entirely and build whatever you like — the wizard never restricts which products or features you can use.
